Default Counter-Strike : Source - 24-08-2004

Actually i expected to see a thread about this game a week back, but somehow everybody missed it here?

Anyway, i got a chance of playing this game a few rounds on a decent computer to run everything on HIGH settings.

Impressions:
- gfx looks pretty
- physics are funny
- its buggy

heh, in overall i was trying to get a feel of CS back. I did not succeed in that short period of time. I somehow have to play it on my own machine to get 'used to it' i think...

No screenies; and to be honest i was not that much impressed. I wait for the 'real deal'.

all kinds

it's by a flaw possiple for all terrorists to buy a bomb, and plant it...
if you pull out a nade, and shift to weapon while you're pressing the fire button, the nade will explode when you die...
hitbugs are buggy (as usual)...
an so on... read here: http://www.steampowered.com/forums/s...hreadid=124110

but I'm sure most of them will be corrected in the final release. After all, it's still a beta.

the biggest reason for the bugs it because the game isn't the point of the this beta, the source is, Valve wants to know what people think about the new engine and physics, and how it will behaive on different machines. They only reason it is CS is cause a lot of people play it and it is realted to HL

I don't believe that's exactly true. After all, there have been some bug fixes out already, and furthermore, I'm pretty sure cs:s is gonna boost HL2's sale big time. I mean, if most tournaments change from 1.6 to :s, they'll force almost all cs'players to go and buy HL2... just to get cs:s.

So I honestly don't think Valve would ditch the community and pretend the bugs doesn't exist... although, with valve's akward behavier in the past you never know...

Well for me I do hope HLČ's deathmatch will be better and funnier to play than CS:Source! We need a change now don't we ? all these years of CS hegemony can't do any good to gaming in general...
