Downloadable and updateble txt file?

how about a downloadable and updatable by any bot writer or council member or modderator text file which contains a list of the latest release of bot's plugins and so....

that way anyone can get that small text file and compare thier files to see if they need to update...

and forums can also place a sticky linkin to that file so that people can get it easy
