Default a vote on podbot2.6 getting its own forum - 18-04-2004

I am officially requesting that the podbot2.6mm gets its own forum. its presently a discussion in the metamod thing......cuz its a metamod thing

but......those threads about it are just too damn long and no one can sort stuff out.

i had started a new thread to maintain coding aspects......and its become a bug discussion...that should be part of another thread.

so /me asks if this can have a forum with 3 subforums
coding discussions
bug discussion
latest DLL's(or Downloads)

in the downloads forum are the latest dll's ONLY.....with their list of fixes...this way at least this can be kept track of.......one thred per fixed dll.

what say thee???

I also think that a forum for all podbot derivates would be nice. but then we should maybe also remind the ppl to take their general C/C++ problems to the appropriate forums, so that this stuff isnt drowning in some of those bot specific threads, the ones which have the most views and pages here until now

after discussions with a few peeps involved with this project, i see it happening like this if possible:

main podbot2.6 mm forum

4 subforums:
CODING, BUG REPORTS, DOWNLOADS, and GENERAL QUESTIONS(about usage)

I already suggested this, so I agree too the new POD bot plugin should have it's own forum.

who makes things like this happen?? who can place forums?

for whomever that may be:

here is the final draft for that forum:

main forum:
PODbot2.6mm
subforums:
1. Coding
2. Bug Reports
3. Download Versions
4. New ideas
5. How to...(FAQ)

i would like to have moderator options here as well. because i will keep it clean......so everyone knows what tf is up where. plus the coders should be mods cuz they are needing to add to lists(see below). but id like to take some of that off thier hands. its my offer.

this is how it should workplease with sugar on top)
1.coding
only discussion concerning coding go here...This forum gets one sticky thread that the coders will pay attention to while fixing or adding functions. It contains a LIST that only a moderator can edit it or add to it......of the pending fixes/additions to be made or fixed.....he who fixes and is tested as FIXED...erases the part he fixed in the master list. the list is the most important feature to keep us on track of stuff. I will personally do my best to see that the ideas and bug thread topics are written, in short, in this list thread. All organized
2. bug reports
each single bug gets a thread. people should look if thier bug is already mentioned...hopefully people are thinking when they post the title. if not i will change it
3. download versions
this thread is only for moderators/coders!!! they will post thing that look like this in separate threads:
thread1 = pod2.6mm 04/04/04
thread2 = pod2.6mm 24/04/04
thread3 = pod2.6mm 06/05/04
so far we have agreed on a librarian who volunteered to collect different fixes from different helpers(splorygon,austin,musicman,whoeverelse)...t hats PMB...so this is his thread.
4. ideas
one idea per thread. same as bugs.....the TITLE counts
5. how to...(FAQ)
this covers install questions, cvars, other commands and whatever else.....you can spam this one up i dont care.....just keep the others clean. I will try, with help hopefully, to get a FAQ going about how to addbots on listen or DS and PIN it......and other install questions that people arent just not understanding.

i hope that makes sense to you guys
