I do it as the step-by-step guide says, until I hit the part where it says to find liblist.gam. The thing is, I dont have one singe file in my computer that is called that D:
And then (I continued by creating a file called liblist.gam in the folder added the line) after 'completing' the steps, I tried t play but it crashed
I have Vista (32bt)

Reason: added OS crap (4 words D:)
It might have something to do when you install cs and after that you haven't got yet onto any server ( listen or dedicated or public or whatever )
I think that the file "liblist.gam" is only created after a connection ( I also guess succesfull connection ) and that could be User Name's problem.
But I might be completely wrong on this
liblist.gam and many Counter-strike folders are downloaded and added after you start the game and start a New Game. After it connects you can then exit Cstrike and then find the liblist.gam. It is a Steam thing. I don't know if there is a quicker way, but it is the only way I know of.

Steam actually creates the folders and files after you load Counter-Strike in steam.
Often times, if you change the liblist.gam the Steam engine will edit it to where it is supposed to be.

Is Your CS steam or non-steam based? It's a basic question. If there is no liblist.gam file, just take All-In-One from the flebase and use that one existing in that package...
