Default Switch weapon bug - 22-04-2008

When a T is actually planting the bomb and suddenly a CT comes in his view, the T with the bomb has problem with switching to his primary weapon.
He switches to it but immediatly switches back to the C4; and that happens repeatedly and very fast, till the CT is out of his view so he continues the plant.
Very rare bug wich was also present in previous versions ( so not only in the V3B19f )

I haven't tested it enough to say that it is still present in V3B19f.
Mostly that specific T bot hears the enemy while planting and he turns his view from where the sound is coming from ( while planting ) and then the enemy is in his view and the bug appears but that was only with previous versions than V3B19f.
With V3B19f; I've seen once a bot making a plant and then a CT shows up and start shooting that T bot but the T bot succesfully made the plant, but I wasn't in first person view of the T bot so I can't tell if the CT could be in his view or not.
What I do can tell is that the T bot was facing the opposite direction than his enemy's position ( maybe with the new code to "better choose" bombsite, a T bot now freezes his crosshair while planting no matter what sounds he hears or shots being fired at him, it's a rough guess )

How it should really be? The planting/defusing bot shouldn't care about enemies or it should?

Well, when a person is planting a bomb, there is usually a few other people to guard him/her. However, since their isn't a guard/squad function, the bot can't really tell if they are safe enough to take the 10 seconds to plant the bomb.
In some instances, rouge players will plant a bomb even if they see the enemy, however, in many instances players wil switch weapons and defend themselves, so it is basicly a 50/50 shot with planting.

With defusing, I believe the bot should ignore their surroundings and defuse the bomb. If a bot could scan the immediate area around him to see if another bot is present, then the bot should go full force with the defusing since he is being guarded.
But with defusing, I would only say to not allow the bot to quit defusing if the bomb is atleast 50% done being defused. (Hopefully that is an understandable scentence, it seems fine to me, but yet it bugs me that multi-lingual people might not understand).

If th enemy is really good, he needs just a one shot (headshot) to kill a bomb planter/defuser. No matter if planting/defusing is about 50% or 80% finished - in both cases the planter/defuser needs to consider to be easly killed by an enemy.

That's a variable that can go differently. There could also be other bots around to distract, unless the enemy specifically targets the bomber.

I don't remember if bots will stop planting if they have their back to the enemy. I'd rather they not; if is that way.

They should care but they have/had problems to switch to their weapon if they were already planting. It is not easy to test cause it happens only occasionally.
I'll really try to test only that for days and days to get a as best as possible view on this case ( maybe on a mini-map where those chances are bigger )
