Your parents are both pilots ?

Quite unique... !

I understand more why you want to give a try to the military... (no irony here, I'm serious.. )

Well, being pilots are not their jobs, but they both have pilot's liscences and fly recreationally. They definently aren't an influence for getting into the military, they both strongly oppose me enlisting.

When I did manage to get them to accept it their first reaction was to try and get me to be a pilot, instead my choice, Armoured. My decision for joining is mostly for the job satisfaction and self-improvement.

Actually, not all air-forces require perfect vision. Vision can be corrected. (I have better than "perfect" vision wearing glasses, btw and very good eyes, I'm just short-sighted. The RAF does of course.)

I wanted to be a pilot, not a pirate.

Well I did my fitness test today, went well. Now I've just got to wait 6-10 weeks till I find out if I'm rejected because of my asthma history, and if not, then when they're shipping me off to Quebec.
