Good map - have played it before online.

One thing that really jumped out: both teams seem focused on the forward spawn flag, instead of blowing the walls and securing the base.

I played a whole match where noone planted on the wall, engs ran right past it to get the FDA.

Playing as allied eng, I was easily able to blow all the walls and get inside with only minor resistance, since it seemed like all the axis were busy guarding the FDA.

Other than that - good work. The first phase of the map was excellent: the bots went to building the ladder and starting moving into the base from all directions very quickly and well. The axis defense was really rough - they held off the allied advances on the FDA very well.

Cheers!

Thx for the feedback, great stuff!

So the eng planting issue has been resolved by setting the spawn flag action to all classes but engineers just to be on the safe side.

I fixed a waypoint issue in the duct in the "fortress", kinda messy but finally got it working the way I wanted.

I fixed connecting a few nodes that was not wrong but not optimal.

As for the axis defence of the wall, this is meant to be pretty easy as that is just the warmup. It get's harder later on and the fun thing with the map is a lot depends on the tower spawn and your team coverage when you steal the documents.

I am doing some final testing and plan to update this file tomorrow if all turns out well.

Cheers,
SteelRat

Sounds great SteelRat. Looking forward to trying the updated one. If your really feeling like doing more, X Dam complex would be great. The one I'm really waiting for is X-Posed. A great map, I can tell a lot of effort went into that one.

Thanks!

Believe me, I am looking forward to X-posed as well I am waiting for the moving vehicle support (as I believe we all are).

I think X-posed will rock with FritzBot!

Version 2 uploaded to filebase.

the filebase wouldn't let me delete the old version for some reason, so I had to change the name of the file and change the link. So be sure to delete the old pk3 from the fritzbot folder first.

At the risk of being silly, what exactly does "Version 2 uploaded to filebase" mean? (http://filebase.bots-united.com/inde...category&id=40) has 'filebase' in the address, but I don't see any sign of duplicate versions, as Crapshoot's post suggested. It made me confused and hungry. I'm off to breakfast now.

There was a version 1 that was originally uploaded to the filebase, then I got rid of version 1 and put version 2 there.

The message to delete the old v2base pk3 from the fritzbot folder was for people who had downloaded version 1.

Since many improvements happened later and SteelRat is no longer active, I updated the waypoints to 2.01 to allow for the bots to make better use of map areas not previously supported. A copy is in the filebase.

I'll try to post them to GameFront or someplace soon too and update this post once they are visible.
