Default SoUlFaThEr - 09-01-2004

I sent an email to SoUlFaThEr, asking him how he has been and if he wanted to join us here.

It is enough to say he is not involved in CS now and will probably not be in the future. Life is giving him all he can handle right now.

Here is some info from his email that everyone may be interested in:

"Whoa
Happy New Year to you
I have sort of disappeared again. nova was getting me a site going but we never finished it. I sort of fell off quite disappointed about the POX. I put a lot of energy into that, and it also died. so many CS projects get started and never finished."

"The idea of 1.6 only on stream has totally killed my interest for the game"

"I thank you for the offer to join in but i am just not able to at this point.

keep it alive until i can come back, if at all "

It is a shame since he is not only probably the best waypointer of his era but also a great mapper.

I still say some ability for the end user to have control over the bot navigation is essential for a great bot. Obviously waypoints give the end user the most control but I am not saying waypoints are the best. I think the best may be the navemesh idea linked with a way to give the users some control, like the new official bot says that it will do…
