Default Unload POD-Bot ?? - 16-05-2004

Hi! Thanks for pb!! Im playing with pb on an CS linux-server with amxx.
Some of my maps do not have any waypoints. For example aim_map, aim_ak-colt2 and awp_map2. Ive found some waypointfiles on the net but they arent any good.... So I dont use them.... But since pb cant find any waypoints for these maps it fills my console with Waypoint not found etc...
So my question is: Is there a way to disable/unload pod-bot for these specific maps? Until some nice person makes waypoints for theese maps..

oh this is my fault..
It'll be fixed in the next release.

but the current best way to fix it is to set maxbot and minbot to 0

Hmm! Im not sure I get it!!

Do you mean this?
In podbot.cfg I should put
#min_bots
#max_bots

and in the end of the file
#addbot

in front of the 7 lines..

Ok thats no more bots on the server.

If I then put some lines in amxx/common/maps-configs/de_dust.cfg
pb addbot 2
pb addbot 1

This way I get two boots on the map.... Well it works but then I have to make an *.cfg for one and each map...

Or maybe did you think of something else?
Ps : when do you think the next pb will be realized?

I'm not quite sure what you mean..
I'm kind of confused now...
and the next pb release will be when ever NUM_FOR_EDICT error is fixed... a prediction would be not for a long time..

go to the podbot.cfg file and search for minbot and maxbot.
You'll probably find something like this:
#min_bots 0
#max_bots 1
change it to
min_bots 0
max_bots 0
(delete the "#"s, cuz those are comments and aren't read by the bot)

Yes! I did know that! I just thought there where some other way...

The problem is that map 1 waypointed, map 2 no waypoints and map 3 waypointed.. So if I do as you suggest im unable to play with boots at all without going to podbot.cfg and changing min_bots and max_bots..

isn't it possible to create map dependent configs?
if so then could a call to the podbot .cfg be placed there

(might have to recode some part of podbot for this)

or maybe overide the podbots.cfg with map.cfg's so if u place min\max in map cfg they'll be used instead of podbot's cfg??

currently the only way to change min/max bot is through the podbot.cfg... At least thats what I remember..
And the podbot.cfg gets read at every map start.
so changing the cfg inbetween/during a map will make the next map load with the new config settings.
