Joe Bot No Worky

I know this is probably the 400th time youve heard this problem but i just cant figure it out even after reading all the posts about it. im running metamod on a listen server and ive gotten the "latest version" of joebot which is supposed to be 1.6.5.3 but all the links and files say 1.6.5.2. when i start a game the bots just spectate so i got the fix for that and then i cant start a server at all it crashes during loading. i know youve heard this problem a lot but i just cant figure it out and its killing me. i had joebot working very recently but i had to get rid of all my mods and get them again and now it wont work. also the "fixes" i download are smaller than the original files and dont display what version they are.

this is due to some steam updates. the first I guess we still patched, but the following weren't, so my guess it that the bot doesnt run anymore ...

I'd love to use JoeBOT on my server again but sadly it is true, the latest version available no longer works. A fix would be faboo. I need a Linux Metamod version.
