Default tech issue fritzbot - 27-11-2005

Hi,
This is more a general question about mp issues.
I have following specs with rtcw sp running noproblem and 1.41 patch and latest version of fritbot installed.
AMD 800 Hz
1024 RAm 133 Hz
30 GB free space C

Et: RUNS smothly
But when I try to host a game with fritzbot, the console alsways blocks the game with
hitch waring higher frame than 1000-1500.
Any reason for this?
Thanks in advance,
miopalmo

Try using the Advanced Server Guide in the Fritzbot Wiki to setup manual configuration files http://wiki.bots-united.com/index.ph...d_Server_Guide

After you set them up, you can then just load the files and shouldn't have to redo them every time you want to play. I find this way better than using the menu to start a game.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Denny,
but it did not help,
created server and map. cfg files (copying exaclty what is explianed in the link
http://www.gameadmins.com/modules.ph...ticle&artid=18
)

Changed the shortcut as indicated in
http://wiki.bots-united.com/index.ph...d_Server_Guide

Changed requireemtns video to minimum settings in in-game menu
still I get a hitch warning, high framerate.
Any possible continuation to overcome this problem?
Thanks in advance

Yes, I installed the latest patch 1.41, but how can I check that it is indeed installed?

i have the exact same problem, i have the mp patch 1.41, i have the newest version of fritzbot, but if i try to start a server it hangs on hitch warnings every time using any of the default or goty maps, which are the only maps i have

rtcw by itself loads absolutely fine

So, when you try to run a server without Fritz, you get no problems? Is it actually happening all the time - interfering with your ability to run the server?

Usually it happens if your loading the bots up, loading the map up, or running other programs in windows that are hogging the CPU (sometimes just grabbing the dedicated server window and moving it around can do this).

Its harmless enough - it doesn't mean anything really, unless your seeing it all the time. And by all the time, I mean CONSTANTLY, where your screen is filled with them and never stops, EVER.

Then, you have a problem - maybe your rig is too low end, maybe you have some other program running in the background thats hogging up too much CPU, etc, etc.

ya when i run a server without fritz it runs fine, and yes it does interfere because when i get the hitch warning it just wont load anything, i even left my comp all last night and it never loaded the server cause of that and it does happen every time

i dont have anything else running on my comp which would steal resources

the hitch warnings do not fill up the screen, it only shows once, but it wont load the server after that, just sits at the Wolf Console

my comp is a P4 1.7Ghz with 512 DDR RAM

oh, and the hitch warning comes up right after or during the loading of fritzbot in the console
