Cool Fritz-RTCW/ET suggestion - 11-01-2006

Hi all,

Merry x-mas and a happy new year (a bit late ).
I still love Fritz, i play it every day on my wolfy.
Still on version without client-side though.

I am also waiting for your relaease for ET.
In the meanwhile i tried omni-bot but it isn't as
nice as Fritz. Here a link as reference:
http://www.omni-bot.de/e107/news.php
Hope u keep Fritz for ET a serside-mod.

A good thing in omni is the minbots and maxbots
option. This will allows a pubserver which
will automatically adjust the number of bots
according to the real life players present.

Unless you run a server that has Linux clients connecting to it, I would HIGHLY recommend using the latest patch - theres SO many improvments that have been added, including nuke protection if you run a server online.

If not, then I understand. I will prolly be keeping Fritz ET serverside only, just because I think its the Right Thing(tm) to do. And a lot of other ppl have asked for me to do so too.

Your suggestion is a good one, and is on the TODO list, tho it may take a while just because I'm so busy right now with the ET support.

Just to add, the main reason why FritzRTCW went client-side is because the FG42 was added and alot of FG42 code is located in the client dll (cgame to be exact).
