Default irc applet doesn't work. - 23-10-2004

see the attachment
(note I'm at the school so it's a translated version of M$ Windows but it shouldn't be a problem as you needn't see them)

Nova decided yesterday to move the IRC server from his own server to the BU machine. In consequence the DNS records for irc.bots-united.com are no longer valid.

*edit*

I just tried and it works for me. Either the service move hasn't occured yet or there is an issue by your own machine. Maybe you've got a firewall problem or something.

because mIRC is not allowed on work, so i figured i could install that thing on my own computer to keep the withdravals at distance...

If mIRC isn't allowed at work, that's probably because a firewall is filtering the IRC ports out. Having a Java IRC client instead of a native executable won't help I guess...

naah, we're just not allowed to install any programs

dunno if the irc ports are disabled though, but it's worth a try.
