I hate christmas, i refuse to take place in a commercial shopping frenzy that does nothing besides fill the shops cash register.

Christmas Definition:
Buying things noone needs for people you dont like with money you dont have ! *grins* My favourite quote !

No, i give people I care about gifts when I run across something i know they would like over the year, not when the Industry says: GO BUY OVERPRICED STUFF NOW, ITS FUCKING CHRISTMAS. NO NO NO ! I refuse to take part in this farce.

I had a great Christmas.

I got a couple of books I would STRONGLY suggest reading; they are by O'Reilly so they are great books .

1. "Windows XP Hacks"
2. "Google Hacks"
3. "PC Hacks"

O'Reilly has a whole series of "Hacks" books so check out their website to check if what you’re interested in is on there. They aren't actually hacks in a sense most people think hacks. By "hacks" they mean tips/tricks/learn how to do really cool stuff you didn't know you could do. For example, in the "Windows XP Hacks" book they teach you a lot about how to edit Windows GUI through the Registry, or how to better protect yourself from ads, spam, and the like. They give a lot of links to great software that I never heard of and now I use them everyday.

I got various other items like a nice pair of headphones, CD-R's, Money (yay ) and what not.

Nah, they mention some great firewall programs, and even how to hack the firewall programs lol.

But hey here is a sweet "hack" for all your command prompt junkies. When you right click on a drive or folder there is an option to open the command prompt to the folder/drive you have selected. This "hack" only applies to XP. It may work in other versions but the Reg entries are probably different.

1. Open the Registry Editor. If you don't know how to do this chances are you shouldn't do the hack

2. Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Classes/Folder/Shell

3. Create a new key called Command Prompt

4. Make the default value of this key to what ever you want the right click menu to say when you right click a folder. For example I use "Open Command Prompt"

5. Create a new key beneath Command Prompt called Command

6. Set the default value to Cmd.exe /k pushd %L
