Rcon with Fritz

Hello. I have trouble using rcon from the server. I at first thought it was server provider related but now that I have two providers for various servers I see that it doesn't work on either server. Is there something I should be doing differently regarding Fritzbot and its relationship with rcon? The only way I get rcon to work at this point is via Rcon Unlimited.

Also, does anyone know what I can do about people continuing to get an error message with something like fg42 error in the string message? This has been a problem for a few members as well as guests to the server. At present I just tell them to delete all their current fritzbot files and to install them from the website directly rather than using server side downloading. Any tips?

I don't think mal touched any code that relates to rcon. It's working for me. Are you getting any error messages?

remember to set /rconpassword <your pass>

and then to use rcon from console, you need to prepend the commands with /rcon :

/rcon addbot
/rcon exec any.cfg

For rtcw, the introduction of the fg42 made it so the mod is both server and client dependant. So anyone connecting will need to have installed the full mod (not just downloads from the server).

Yup! I got error messages for FG42 (says error loading /models/weapons2/fg42 has a stage but no image etc..) and bunch others. this seems to have turned into rather a big problem for me.. coz it drives me mad..:/ been trying to figure it out for days...geez..
