i've tried the Bobots, but they seem to lag my computer so much that it's not even worth playing.

Yep, and AIMod has been inactive since like April. ETBot (which never released anything but images) merged with OmniBot, which is producing the bots for ETF (which comes out tomorrow, methinks). Yep, I know my current events.

As for RtCW: I don't have it. I was always sort of turned off because everyone's saying stuff like "there are so many cheaters on the pubs" and that the only real play is in the competition (which is okay, but I'd suck). But, I'll probably grab RtCW for the Single Player soon (and possibly your Fritz bots too). Also because I feel like a nub playing ET without RtCW.

[Edit] The thing about bobots though is that it's quite easy to create bot support for maps because of the easy node system. Unfortunately they're still not so bright, so they don't open doors or climb ladders well or anything like that.

I *think* (from what I've heard) the creator of AIMod is creating bot support for a certain mod (not ETF), and he's abandoned the AIMod, but I'm not saying anything.

Also, that version is still quite old. It's got a few nice things, but the amount of glitches are (to me) unbearable.

Single Player RtCW is pretty good just in itself - the AI is sharp, made by the same guy who did the Eraser bot for Q2. You can usually find the "Platinum Editon", which includes ET, for under $20 US. Even less if you buy it used.

If your at all interested in Fritz, I recommend you try it first - for all you know, there is no bot, I'm just connecting to everyones computers with my friends and pretending to be a bot!

EDIT: just heard of a new ET bot: CCBOT. Just came out.

Heyyo,

OOO! sweet find Mal! I'll have to test this now.

They seem to be made by some dudes who speak French! kickass. So that makes 2 french ET bots: Bobots and CCbot. Plus PMB's bot works... the french seem to love their bot coding.

Does it have some sort of English option? No offense to the French of course but i can't understand their language.
