Default Bot-Control for all clients - 14-12-2004

Hello

I'd like to build a dedicated cs1.6-server with joebot, clanmod, metamod
where all clients are able to add/kick bots (server is already
running without ingame control of the bots)

How can I realise this? Maybe by giving every client
Access to cm_rcon (clanmod) ?

It has to be simple.. therefore a modified commandmenu.txt
needed by every client is not a solution..

Are there by any chance existing plugins or something?

Thx
Mel, freshman in installing a cs-server

you can access all bot commands by rcon, that's possible. dunno if that's sufficient for you, if that's simple enough

i'm answering for "Mel":

Problem is that there are about 100 clients in our LAN who should be able to add/kick bots and switch to endround. Ofcourse we must not give all that persons the rcon_password for the server. but the rcon_joebot-commands seems to be the only possibility for steering the bots.

so the questen is, how to steer the bots by client without knowing the rcon_pass ..?

i just remember, there is a check if a command is issued by the listenserver or someone else. normally this is only for the listenserver edict, since normally noone should be able to type endround when he wants to. dunno if you have a compiler, I could tell you what to change, or if I should recompile it with a switch added ...
