the bot should ask you which waypoints to use

Whoooaaaaa, what a relief!!! You know, I lost loads of work 2 times when I turned wp off after a little "noclip" session, and suddenly the map restarted wothout saving anything... > That was so frustrating! Good to know that this dirty little PITA is removed.
Can't wait to get my hands on this new dll...
ive used no clip and hasn't happened to me i'm using pmb's last release..

SF:
"you REALLY do not need the wp del no. commands anymore.......for no reason at all.....just chill till the release duder i promise yer gonna love it.......all of you."

i still think it would be a good idea to implement as i hate no clip...u can easily screw up with it. I tend to do it without it then i know excatly how and what a bot can do and move like..

(i'm still sad that i lost my pack of 10 wpt's that i did a year ago they were nasty map to play with podbot ) coz bots would do stuff u proally would think..unless u saw my wpts...like on this 1 map they would climb big steel bridge and camp it on top....i hadn't even put a camp up there :O

well i hope the new realese is as good as u say.....i will make a new bind script so that all on\off can be done at a button after this bot is released.

no no clip sux i don't really see the point of it...coz u can get anywhere on a map without it...and if u wanna goto the other side of a map just teleport

no clip +autowaypoint = disaster
no clip = danger

but if u say it's a wp'rs best tool then i guess i'll have to add it to my bind script...

ps: when's this release coming....soon seems ages way like valve

ps: on the current realease (pmbs last one) can i refer to auto waypoint and other things like u have done in ur optimal bind script? "wpmenu menuselect....."

I imagine... but noclip is not intended to be used all the time anyway. It's useful in few tricky situations, most notably underwater waypointing (fully manual, of course, that allows for more control than swimming through in autoWP mode) and for placing WPs inside walls. How do you want to do that w/o noclip? Or take your wp del problem - noclip is great for such cases.

Btw, which maps did you refer to in your "waypoint lost" post? `cause your steel bridge thingy doesn't really tell anything if nobody knows which bridge in which map. You don't mean de_bridge, do you?

y would u waypoint inside a wall...u trying to make the bots cry?

nvm about the steel bridge ..i lost all my old wp's i spent a whole two weeks on that map perfecting it.....(hence y i request that back up feature,(will repost it in ideas later after i brainstrom some more)

the map if u must know was de_bridge.

de_prodigy was an example where the "wp inside the wall" was used to get them to run into the button there......so the door would open and it worked ok.......i also used it on de_pandemonium.....a tall lader onto a thin ledge.....the bot dont normally get on the ledge...so by placing a waypoint a bit into the wall...the do get on the ledge and continue.

tricks of the trade

Exactly. TAZ even used WPs inside walls to get bots around corners on extremely narrow ledges in cs_bigwong, I used several WPs inside walls in cs_waterside to get bots to walk around open doors sticking into the corridor instead of running into them, etc. etc. ... Like SF says, it belongs to the "tricks of the trade". And even if most other issues could be fixed, I wouldn't know a way to avoid the ladder bug without going noclip into the walls and placing a WP there...

Ah yes, de_bridge... Actually, it's not very hard to get bots to walk up the bridge and camp on top of it, but given the enormous size and wide open areas of the map, it costs loads of work and time indeed... I have that one waypointed for the old PODBot, and as far as I remember, some more difficult bits were a) getting the bots to camp on top of the rocks next to the top of the steel bridge and b) that stupid underwater passage to the 2nd bomb spot. Not to mention the jumps from that higher passage in the rocks over the lake to the smaller bridge (2nd bomb spot) and back... Did you get that underwater passage to work perfectly (i.e. w/o bots losing health) in both ways? I gave up after 7 or 8 attempts...
