Poxbot?? Where's it gone?

Why is the poxbot site gone? I know that Steve wasn't around much, but couldn't it have been left up? Now it is gone from poxbot.de, and from here. So now no one can even see the progress that was made with it.

Couldn't the source code be given out and someone else work on it?

I thought it was really good.

The support for PoXBot has been dropped by decision of the BU Council... Not only Steve has completely vanished into thin air for more than 6 months, but his bot never got updated at all and all the work that third-party people such as Austin, SoUlFaThEr and myself had put into PoXBot for helping Steve++ has been done in vain. There is nothing new about PoXBot at all. Steve++ never answered to the many emails we sent him for months, and we decided at Bots United to remove the forum in order to protest against such a lack of respect, and also because we have strictly no time to provide support to a bot if its author does not even make the effort to support it in the slightest way.

The source code is still the property of Steve++, that's why even if Steve++ has not been nice with us we won't allow ourselves not to be nice with him by just giving it away, since this bot has never really been open source, at least officially.

But why has poxbot.de gone now?
Poxbot did have some stuff, so I think the site should be left there so people can download it and read info about it. Could someone put the old site back, maybe without the forums?

about this 'open source' thingy, is'nt it so that everything derived from the podbot source, should also be open source? (like when you code something for metamod, you should actually provide the source).

well if you go that way my friend you'll have to release the RealBot source as well... the HPB_bot license (GNU) is contaminative

OIC, sorry, I had almost forgotten that you don't want to release your source code because you're afraid that people will be amazed by its quality... or sumthin like that... well I think so... right ?
