It was discussed few times. I don't know how CZERO bots generates these waypoints automatically (I haven't seen the algorithm nowhere) I have no idea how to do it. If someone can write me some easy and clear and easy algorithm how to scan the map and then generate waypoints for it, I can do that. For now noone helped me with that.
@SF - You didn't get what they are asking for. They basically don't want to ask any waypointer to waypoint the map for them. They just want - like it is for official CZERO bots - the map is waypointed automatically (covered with waypoints) by the code without any necessity walking on the map or so. The only thing You need is just move some waypoints or place some jumps or something like that (just little improvements of this what the code does). But they don't want to place manually or even by the existing AUTO waypointing code because it always take time and also currently there is a lack of waypointers with free time they can spend to make waypoints for requests/ask.
yeah hmm....lat time i made 2 maps for CSS i had to create the entire navmesh myself. there was nothign auto about it wasnt waypoint either....just little colored squares all over the ground...
cool if they automated that one...was sort of a pain in the butt
yeah waypointers are hard to find nowadays im sure.
ive been away for a while developing my own game....still continues.
That thing with automatically waypointing is the last advantage CZERO bots have comparing to podbot mm. Even at other boards the people say this (pb mm) is more advanced and more human-like, but they (the people) hate searching for waypoints or ask for them if no one waypointer has time to do waypoints now. Unfortunatelly I don't have any good algorithm how to automatically cover the map with waypoints (without walking on the map).
yeah me and PMB back then were discussing changing it to the A*nav mesh which is really what(i believe) those CSS bots are using(considering the way the nav mesh looks).
the old way of css bots you could actually cover the ground a bit with some basic nav mesh....but....it was really bad and buggy as hell....so I, im my perfection craze, created them completely by hand.
is anyone interested in having that map uploaded here....it's my best mapping work.
I just don't know if CSS maps have a place here.
