Default CS Crashs "SZ_GetSpace: ..." - 18-03-2004

Hi,
(Sorry my English isn't very good *g*)

I had the PodBot before. I Unistalled the PodBot and installed JoeBot 1.5.6.1.
If I try to host a server for lan, it all works fine.
But if I Disconnect, and try to host a lan server again, I get this: "SZ_GetSpace: Tried to write to an uninitialized sizebuf_t:???" and I get back to the Desktop.

oh, Iforgot: I have cs 1.5, and I have put "jb_cstrike 1" in the bot.cfg is it right?

You don't need to set jb_cstrike15. It should work automatically with CS1.5. Also, jb_* cvars don't belong in bot.cfg, they go in joebot.cfg. I tried the following with CS1.5 which I think starts a lan server:

hlds.exe -console -game cstrike +exec server.cfg +maxplayers 10 +map de_aztec +sv_lan 1 -nomaster

I tried it about 3 times without any crashes. I'm assuming you unzipped the archive into your half-life directory. You should have a new liblist.gam in Half-Life\cstrike directory and all the .dll and config files in Half-Life\cstrike\joebot directory.

It's not really a JoeBot problem. In fact it's a Half-Life launcher bug. People have this bug in every HL mod using the HL 1.1.1.0 launcher (hl.exe, not Steam). The bug is that if you host a lan game, disconnect from it and create another one in a row, nothing works as expected. The first listen server isn't shutdown by the HL launcher, and the second one fails to boot up correctly.

They have changed this since the Steam upgrade, but the bug remains for non-Steam users.

To fix it, ensure you go back to the MAIN MENU when you quit a LAN game. If you don't go back to the main menu (where there will be a popup "leaving multiplayer mode will cause the current game to terminate, are you sure y/n") then your old LAN game isn't completely shutdown and creating a new one won't work.
