Default Fritz ET request: hitsounds & shove/push - 31-03-2006

Would be nice to see these features in Fritz ET, I hope we can see them in some future version. :>

Have played a good few games with the bots now and I'm very impressed, thanks for these great bots!

I had shoving in an older version of the Fritz Wolf mod, but it caused some issues for the bots: bots would shove each other off cliffs, or into places they couldn't get out of, etc. So I took it out.

As noted before in other threads - yes, I will try to add hitsounds.

Since I released not even a week ago - I've get about a dozen requests a day to port Fritz to about 8 diff ET mods so far. Its gotten so bad, I've added a part in the FAQ about it.

I can't - I just don't have the time to recreate every single mod out there, and most mods are not open source, so its not a situtation where I can just grab the source, and dump it into the Fritz code (EX: ETPro is not open source, while I could re-create their features, its taken them years to get where they are now - I'd rather work on the bot).

The only mod I know of that is open source, is ETPub. So, odds are MUCH better that if there is an ETPub feature you really like, its open source, and the ETPub team is cool about sharing, that you'll see it in Fritz.

Next version, I will expand some of the general game features - but my main focus will always be the AI.

BTW: If you have a feature that you really want, and can point me to source code, or supply the code yourself, I'll use it.

Maleficus,

Just wanted to thank you and your team for the great work and support with such a great bot and helping me figure out my little server.

I'm excited to see that we should be able to use custom hitsounds in the future. Two things I would like to see in future releases would be xpsave like etpub and the shrubbot.cfg for admin levels involved the the Fritzbot. Mostly I would like the xpsave.

I realize this all takes time and am just happy to have such a great bot available to offer the public to play on. Do you know if I put in a custom skin pack with Fritzbot if it would work just like ETpub?

Anyway thanks agian to all of you.

Skin packs will work just fine. I use my own custom skinpacks for my own Fritz enjoyment.
