Default Immune to Flashes? - 18-03-2004

I just installed the bots last night, they work fantastic, but I noticed that they don't seem to be affected by flash grenades. Anyone know if this is the case and maybe how to fix it?

they are not really immune
they react not very often but you have to throw the flash in front of their feet then they start shooting in the air sometimes, i noticed, it could be a bit more often but its realistic cause most good players dont let flash themselves

Gonzo is right. Never assume your flash did any good even in a real (with humans) game.

most than this, the original POD-bot has excellent (and IMO unrealistic, limit cheating) hearing. It can pinpoint you exactly just by the sounds you make, footsteps or gunshots. It's like a 3rd eye for him...

Peirre hit the nail on the head there. These bots are all ears. Add these lines to your userconfig.cfg and the bind to your config.cfg replacing the walk/run/toggle bound key. I use q myself. The // makes it a comment so don't include that.

alias "walktoggle" "walk"
alias run "-speed; bind mouse1 +attack; alias walktoggle walk; speak run; "
alias walk "+speed; bind mouse1 +wakeup; alias walktoggle run; speak walk"
alias +wakeup "+attack; -speed"
alias -wakeup "-attack; bind mouse1 +attack; alias walktoggle walk"

//bind "q" "walktoggle"

When you fire your weapon the walk is released and you'll be running again.

no, bots are not immune to flashes.. they actually do the following to prevent flashing themselves:

once they see the flash grenade, they quickly grab it and put it deeply into their ass. that is not pleasant of course but its a type of immunity

Heyyo,

LMAO @shamz

Well, I never thought they were affected, so I just bought HE nades, and smokes for fun. Smokes seem to affect them as they don't shoot at you right away until you hit them.
