Default Idea: An 'other bots' forum - 27-01-2004

check this link, its a question about bots in general. I wanted to move this topic but found there is no forum that is suited for this topic either... any ideas? I saw at Nuclearbox that they have an 'Other bots' forum. Perhaps that will do nicely.

Yes, that would make sense as long as it was clear that threads should only be posted there if that bot doesn't already have it's own section in this forum. (I guess threads could get moved if they do.)

You are right, we need some forum where we would redirect all the questions relative to bots that are not covered by Bots United, and especially the not supported anymore but still famous ones such as POD-Bot (Botmeister had a word for that, he called them "legacy bots". Being not a native english speaker I'm not sure I understand what "legacy" means and I understand it mostly through its context ; as in to provide support to things that are not supported anymore anywhere else...)

Anyway for a number of reasons I believe a "general bot discussions" forum would be more accurate than an "other bots" forum (which would somehow be populated only by requests about bots for such or such unknown mod, since most of the other bots have their own forums, be it on Bots United, or elsewhere). We already have something like this, the only problem is that it's aimed at developers.

sure, 'general bot discussions' is fine with me. Its about its purpose anyway and the name is more clear about what bots it is about.
