John Carmack did not have anything to do with Daikatana. Thats John Romero you're thinking of. And it wasn't all Romero's fault that Daikatana sucked.
But anyway, how could you not be looking forward to playing Doom 3? Did you even play Doom when it came out? PC Gamer has already reviewed Doom 3, and they gave it a 96%. Thats a pretty damn good review if you ask me.
I played the leak of Doom 3, and it was quite impressive, even in its unfinished state. It was better then and more fun than many games I've purchased before.
