Default European style stock maps - 25-07-2009

I have released the first of 420blunt's ported waypoints for Berzerkr's re-texture-ing of 5 of the 6 stock maps. Get the Oasis_eu 1.10 waypoints here (based on Crapshoot's oasis waypoints). Map can be found on wolfmap.de.

Improvements include better support of smoke actions, and allied mobile mg42 soldiers (if present), bots will visit less used areas to clear out camping humans, and use H&A cabinets occasionally. Some other minor changes for variety. Balance mainly favors Axis (depends on team make up).
Heavily play tested, but released as beta because I have a dozen more actions to review for a final technical cleanup. Waypoint link will die in October when Geocities dissapears.

lol I'm banned and I've never even been there

I used another one of my comps and found oasis_eu_b2.pk3
Is this the version I need? I'm guessing it's the latest?

Do these updates also work with default Oasis (just rename)?

cheers

Works for me with FF and js enabled. But then my IP doesn't play on European game servers. Maybe your IP# is a re-tread, they say they are running out of IP numbers (like the phone numbers)

Yes, yes and you can. The pack is oasis_eu_b2 but the map is oasis_eu.bsp
(rename waypoints as .zip, un pack keeping the directory structure, rename \bots\oasis_eu.nav to bots\oasis.nav, then do the rename of the oasis_eu.aiscript, oasis_eu.script, oasis_eu.bots. The cfg file is optional. Then repack with a zip file name that comes later alphabetically than the FritzX...pk3, waypoint packs, and rename back to .pk3 type. And put it in /fritzbot/

BTW Winrar is easier since you can rename without unpacking but may still need to do the ,zip ,pk3 dance.

Default European style Goldrush map - 28-08-2009

OK I think I have finally found a compromise on balancing these goldrush_eu waypoints (1.10). (rename .zip as .pk3 and place in /fritzbot) Link is good till Oct 2009.

Fast games with few humans may favor allies but otherwise I think Axis is favored.
(So If Allies get 5+ minutes time to go in the bank then I am calling it balanced)

You need the same b2 version of Berzerkr's work (i.e. put goldrush_eu_b2.pk3 in /etmain)

I wasn't going to do Fueldump_eu for lack of time but then I found a couple of bugs in plain old Fueldump (1.50, in fritz1_1,00.pk3). So here is a ported and improved 1.50.1 just for fueldump_eu. See the readme for all the changes. Balance definitely favors axis (like in plain fueldump 1.50). I will likely port almost all these changes to a plain fueldump update to squash the bugs in 1.50.

As always links expire third week of October.

Ok I did port the bug fixes and other changed to regular winter version fueldump, Rolled back just a few changes including the bots file to its heavy fieldop composition, Get 1.50.2 here before Geocities closes next month.

I played fueldump_eu about a dozen times after finding a couple of things I thought that may require attention but found that they don't. The small things I noticed seemed random and didn't actually affect gameplay as a whole.

The only thing I will mention is Axis on first phase give themselves quite a bit of damage on the barbed wire near the river/bridge. This isn't an issue imo as it appears that this map is slightly Axis biased with the FritzBots.

^^ Same comments with default Fuel Dump.
I've always enjoyed fueldump and the BOTs provide some great games
