To be honest - I wouldn't make a bot for CS:S, because its supposed to have CSBot as a part of it. Its a good bot, not perfect - but good enough that most people will ignore other 3rd party bots simply because the bot that comes with the game is decent enough.
Same thing happened to the Quake3 community - its bots were good enough that all of the 3rd party bot projects have died.
Unless the official bot for a game is so weak its a joke, its really hard to get anyone to care about a 3rd party bot for a game that already has one.
But, on the other hand - theres plenty of good games out there (and mods too, if your only interested in HL/HL2) that desperately need a good bot, but don't have one (like RTCW in my case).
