Have you got metamod installed ? The +localinfo stuff is only for the people who want to run metamod and the bot at the same time. If you don't have metamod installed, you need to change the game DLL in the liblist.gam file instead.

Yes I have metamod installed. I'm not server stupid....not completely...lol. Everything that metamod is set to run works fine except for joebot.

Normal, it is a cs 1.6 problem. Wait few days to solve this problem with the new update.

Now that the new updated is out it says:
Cstrike FL_FAKECLIENT fix (3rd-party bots should work fine in cstrike once more)
when i start a server and type that(FL_FAKECLIENT) in console it says UNKNOWN COMMAND is there anything else you type after FL_FAKECLIENT or just that? In other words whats the exact command to type in console.

FL_FAKECLIENT is not a command. It's an internal flag which identifies a player as a bot and prevents the engine from sending network messages to them (that's at least what I understood about this).
I've the metamod version of joebot running at my dedicated linux CS server since the last update and it runs very well for an interims release :-)
