Enhanced "botman" BspViewer (portals,trace..) -

For bot development purpose, I have coded an improved version of botman's BspView tool ( you can walk through the BSP 3D-world of a map without HL engine); the main improvements are : leaf bounds ( including portals) computed from the Bsp file, ability to visualize them, a recursive traceline function+ more displayed data/options. If anyone knows how to record OpenGL screens under .avi files ( if it is possible!), I would be happy to try and provide an example of what my program does. If several bot developers are interested, tell me, and I will do the( most necessary) cleaning up of my files and transfer it somewhere on the site ( providing I am told how to that!).

I have cleaned up my files a lot and uploaded the BspViewBU.zip file but I cannot see it anywhere, even using the search ( when trying to upload it again, it tells me that the file already exists though). Am I missing something here?

Where did you upload it to? What section?
The filebase is weird. It will not let you update a file if you use the same description (I think it is description.) You have to give it a different description or you get that redicious error about the file existing. It may be the short description, the long description, or the file name. One of those is used as the key into the database (very stupid!) so try changing one of them and re-upload the file and let me know which field has to be changed.

I tried to load it in the "Other stuff" section.I will try again under a different name ie "BspViewBU2.zip".

It worked. " BspViewBU2.zip" is now available under the "Other stuff" section of the filebase. Thanks for the help.

stelomet better upload the OpenGL Utility Toolkit library in to the file base.

you forgot to put $halflife_dir in the config file as well, forgot what the variable names was.. had to look at botmans first :p
hmm it still doesnt update the expected halflife directory???

he put $halflife_dir, in HalfLifeMods.cfg
