Default ET WAYPOINT: Townsquare_final - 29-04-2006

The Townsquare_final (ET) waypoints are ready for play. The map can be downloaded from either of these three sites:
http://pcgamemods.com/mod/9771.html
http://files.filefront.com/townsquar.../fileinfo.html
http://www.daddeltreff.de/filebase.p...c5c49c2cda0/0/

And the waypoints are in the filebase at:
http://filebase.bots-united.com/uplo...Townsquare.zip

The goal of this map for the Allies is to "liberate" a stash of gold that the Axis have accumulated from the French and which is stored in a small "palace" in the town square of a small village in western France. The village has narrow winding streets leading to the square from the Allied spawn point where their escape vehicle is located. The scenario is reminiscent of the 1970 movie "Kelly's Heroes" (without the tank), and I convinced some of the actors to join the game as bots. As the game begins, the Axis take possession of the square and the church before the Allies arrive and the battle is joined. The Allied engineers have to destroy two objectives, a trap door in the church and the palace door. The trap door leads to an underground crypt below the church and an interior route to the gold, though it passes close by the Axis spawn point. Be sure to send your beefiest soldier to carry the gold -- the box must weigh at least 500 pounds judging from its size and the gold bars laying on top of it!

Enjoy,
The bindlestiff

I did a test run, it's a nice looking map and the bots seem to play it well. Nice job!

Thanks, Mal, it's appreciated! Also, BIG THANKS to Crapshoot for his help and encouragement in making the transition to ET.
