Default HiveMind AI (ns bot) - 06-07-2004

Just decided to p1mp my bot, so here it goes...

HiveMind is an AI for the game Natural Selection. It creates players for the alien team. Features of v3.2 which is about to release includes:
 Removed bots gestating to lerk
 Added gorge support
 Found and fixed a bug that disallowed evolving in NS3Beta4
 Restored the HiveMind menu (not perfect, but it's back now)
 Added support for co_kestrel, although a bit screwey.
 Improved bot-combat
 Bots should Bunny-Hop alot more
 Added support for NS3b4
 Updated co_pulse waypoint
 Added: Bots will now evolve celerity, adrenaline AND carapace if they see a hive.
 Updated co_rebirth waypoint
 Fixed HiveMind seeing a CC or the armory from anywhere psychopathically
 Added support for co_core

Why is it that everyone wants to make an NS bot exclusively for the bugs? Theres two alien bots (hivemind and whichbot) and only one marine/alien bot (RC bot).

The idea of dedicating all the effort into one of the two teams is allright, considering the fact of how complex the TC is, but its kind of unfortunate that RC bot isn't updated that often, and its designed for many mods, so the marines would be behind the bugs in terms of AI.

I made it for the aliens because it was mainly a replacement for WhichBot, as it was so buggy and because I can code the aliens better than the marines. I can't be stuffed making my head explode with code to add commander-mode and the bots aren't very much without commander mode, as the comm. needs to give them weapons.

Overall, aliens is my fav. team anyway
