Heyyo,

It's more than just religion, it's also stuff like the thirst for power. Ya know? like, how most americans believe they're better than others so they go into other countries and say "do things our way", and how germany used to think they were the 'super power' of the world and then tried to dominate the world? ya know, stuf like that. Religion is like Hangfire said, not actually geared towards religion, but the followers, the fanatics.

It's just like sports. You go into a bar that praises the BC Lions, and you're an Edmonton Eskimo fan, and you cheer for Edmonton? there's a good chance you're gonna get your arse kicked.

Hmmm, where did my post go that I posted a couple of minutes ago?
As been said before, some people use religion as an exuse to do what they want, without religion they would find some other exuse to get their way.
Religions doesn't start war... people do...

Well religion is the cause of many wars. But I think it's pretty naïve to think that by removing religion we remove the wars.

What would the alternative be? Governmential thought-control, to make sure nobody believes in anything?

True, whether its good or bad, its here to stay. I'm not particularily religious, but the right to worship what I want to is something I value greatly.

religion or no religion, there is always a thing that says "make up your own damn mind"... though some relgions prescribe to 'kill' non-believers, i don't think at this time most people take that litteraly. THough, you only need a few mad mans to create chaos.
