I'd say rather not! There are a lot of small changes I did in the templates, which are not immediately visible but were needed nevertheless. If I can't remember them all and I don't see them during the "tests", I will need to pass my nights changing things one after the other each time I find something !
Do we really need to upgrade something that WORKS each time the vBulletin developers change a single line of code ? If you really want the finest caviar, why don't you wait for the gold version ? I suppose the gold version will be a version that isn't supposed to change for a long time.
Anyway, that's my opinion. What do the other council members think ?
[edit]I won't oppose an upgrade, lemme make it clear. But if we upgrade, I WON'T redo the templates : someone else will need to. And I can assure you there are a LOT of things to do (increasing the max number of smilies displayed in a smiliebox, removing the "vBulletin forums -" prefix in each and every titlebar, fixing the post previews, putting the member rules in the register page, adding new vbPhrases, reverting the postbit template to old-fashioned style (i.e. user thubmnail on the left instead of top), etc, etc. There is EVEN stuff to do in the PHP functions of the include/ directory, by hand, via SSH. You'll be warned.
