That looks cool! I do however dislike that you can't download the full last version. You need to download some old version and then patch, this is truely unprofessional:/

Oh I didn't noticed that...

In FreeBSD I only had to type this:
Code:
cd /usr/ports/game/linux-enemyterritory-tce/
make install clean

Mount and Blade

Fun commercial game in beta, but free to test. Basically, hire a band of mercenaries, go fight stuff, upgrade you and your guys, hire more guys, so on and so forth.

Really fun 3rd person combat game. I love the mounted combat, I've never seen it done before like this. When fighting from a horse in first person view mode, it really feels like your fighting froma horse. I dunno how to explain it better, just try it.

It takes getting used to some things, such as archery, but when you get the hang of it its really good.

As usual, innovation and fun are easily found from an independent developer.

Edito: The limit for non-registered users is character level 6, when you hit it then you have to restart. Also, game is only supported for winXP.

Heyyo,

HAahaha! weirest thing hea, I was just surfing www.moddb.com and I saw that true combat thing whilst looking for a fun q3 mod. Instead of picking true combat,I've selected this one, western quake 3 mod:

http://www.westernquake3.net/

Lol, looks awesome. That wanted mod for hl was ok, but the built in bots weren't too smart as they always got stuck.

Now, WOW! lol! western quake 3 rocks! The music's soo sweet guys, lol. Now, these ain't the best graphics for the Q3 engine, but hey, the gameplay's lots of fun, and the music and sound effects.. they feel like someone ripped them straight out of an old western movie flick! it's great. It's got the buy system of CS, but everything's dirt cheap since it's all oldies eh? weapons are nice too, you can do akimbo of any pistols, so you can have a colt lawgiver in one hand, and a remington in the other. The reload system is good too. For guns like the winchester rifle, you need to hold down the reload button for how many bullets you want put in. Plus, for shotguns, the dual barreled ones? you can left click for single barrel, or right click to deliver some dual barreled pain.

Bot's aren't too smart, but I'm sure as they develop this mod they'll do even better.

[EDIT]
OMG, I wish you could import songs, I'd soo throw on "Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory" that would make my day.

If ya don't like bon jovi? well, I don't likes the looks of ya, pilgrim, and I challenge you to a duel.

Later-a-much, and LONG LIVE THE D!,

SuperTux is a classic 2D jump'n run sidescroller game in a style similar to the original SuperMario games. The Milestone1 release of SuperTux features 9 enemies, 26 playable levels, software and OpenGL rendering modes, configurable joystick and keyboard input, new music and completly redone graphics. Together with a little story, we hope to provide a good gaming experince with this first Milestone release.
Note: Despite of the "tux" in the name, it can be run under both GNU/Linux and Windows/BeOS/MacOSX

Clonk

German puzzle/action/strategy game. Kind of like a mix of worms and lemmings. In it you have control of some "Clonks", you harvest materials, build stuff, and possibly fight depending on the scenario. All of their games, except for the latest (Clonk Endevour) are freeware. Clonk Planet has multiplayer, which is a garenteed addition to my next LAN party this weekend.

Multi has both coop and competetive scenarios. All games are open-source I think.
