The reason not in a plug-in, but in a metamod. Specifically, in build 4554 valve has added in structure enginefuncs_t pointer to a new function pfnCheckParameter(). This new function is just used in mp.DLL for testing parameter "-nobots" when you create a bot. But since metamod does not pass this function in mp.DLL occurs "access violation reading location".

My solution: I just did bypass of a call of this function.

Source code is present.

New function definition:
Code:
// This function returns the launch parameter index in 'com_argv' array, 0 if nothing found. (*argument == com_argv[pfnCheckParameter()]) (Only latest steam versions has this function....)
const unsigned int (*pfnCheckParameter) (const char *const parameter, const char **const argument/* = NULL*/); // (Example: "-nobots") (Added: 15 Jun 2009, build 4554)
WARNING: ONLY FOR WINDOWS 32 BIT!!!!

LINK

P.S. Sorry for bad english
Hi, can you please re-upload the SourceCode for this metamod? the link already dead. Thanks.

Here was written:
Quote:
CSBot-Enable plugin - A Metamod plugin to enable the official CS bot in CS 1.6.
(** CURRENTLY BROKEN DUE TO LATEST STEAM UPDATE **)
But I recently had enabled bots on HLDS 6153 build + MetaMod v1.21p37 and were playing with bots a lot of time without any problems.

Whistler, could you do a few more things:
• fix incompatibility that leads to this message in console:
Code:
No model -1!
• improve module to remove location from radio messages that is unsupported in CS 1.6. All zones in default nav files are named and game include zone name for all radio messages but CS 1.6 leaks support '#Game_radio_location' message. I made simple AMXX plugin to show that I mean (see remove_location.zip)
• official Linux version

It would be good if you make it for Linux too.
