Re: If your DVD is broken... -

Join the club. I never bothered buying a standalone DVD player, Why would I, with a comparably silent PC, a top-quality DVD-ROM and a GFX card with ViVo?
VHS cassettes => AVI/MPG; DVD-ROM => TV.
Roses are #FF0000, violets are #0000FF // all my base, are belong to you.
I've done the same thing, just with music... no cd-player, just an amp and speakers... why buy a cd-player when I have two in the computer already?
And then I have a little guitar preamp/effects thingie (v-amp2), going over to the computer or the amp. No need to be redudant.
Next thing on my list is a tv-card and a dvddrive. My graphics card has no tv-in.
but since i haven't really had a tv for the last 1½ years, I've found out that i don't really need one anyway, so i don't know if I'll ever do anything about it.
A greyscale with just one color? Heaven must surely be a dull place.
This calls for an extraordinary mix of psychology and extreme violence!
Guess what: I was waiting for my father so that we could watch Kill Bill 2, and as he was going to do somethings first, I started to play NFSU2 in the computer. W0W.
Soon I'll post a picture of it, my only frontal USB connection doesn't seem to be in a good mood today...
using TV-Out isnt something new, but yea, i've used it to play DVDs before, i'd show you pics of my PC setup, but i'd probably win a 'Most unorganised desktop' award.. i got 3 computers crammed in here randomly, 1 i'm using, my linux box and my rather large DVD player
