Yeah, he's right... cs_docks is a great map. But if you think that those old maps look a little bland, you might try cs_docks_01. It features basically the same structure, but with carefully improved design.
Another modification is cs_docks2k_winter, but in that map you can't rescue two of the hostages.
Personally, I'd recommend cs_docks_01. N0TH1NG rulez!

I don't get it. Some of those maps are great, It's weird. They mess up the classic maps such as inferno and aztec by modifying them but keep the same names forcing people to upgrade and overwrite the classic versions, they add new maps that no one plays because they're so laggy like um can't remember the names cuz I deleted them, now they remove some of the best maps available. Perhaps I just don't understand how these guys make their money because all I see are fewer CS players these days. Whatever they are doing ain't working as far as keeping the player counts up.

Sorry for the rant, just can't help myself sometimes.

I never understood the criteria for maps to become CS standards anyway. The higher the CS version got, the more questionable maps got included. Instead, many great custom maps will never make it into CS - and nobody knows why. Isn't de_scud_2k1 a lot better than de_storm or de_survivor?
And those modifications without changing map names ought to be forbidden anyway. It's ok to offer more alternatives, but why force people to upgrades nobody wants? >
Heck, they could even provide the upgrade without any new maps and offer a bunch of them to download according to each person's choice.
Aw, you know what? I think we're getting old...

Well Botmeister, you are right, I have retired CS to LAN play ONLY, and skipped on the Steam, though I got the power to run it.
So I am staying on 1.5, heck I am even looking at the old 1.3 just for that jumpings sake, because back then, it was the true LAN days...

Pardon my nostalgia.
