Heyyo,
Yeah, the idea behind it is cool, but yeah, it's illegal cause it's a full copy, and it isin't fair to people who bought either Half - Life, or the Counter - Strike retail, or anyother HL mod.
[EDIT]
BTW, yes, I did try it, and dude, the animations suck, it's pre-final v1.6 release, as in the beta, and can't use any steam servers onnit cause you have to 1st log into steam, so it says "ou're not logged in!" and so, you'd have to use cracked servers which are illegal...
CS is a great mod, and I'd say: YES, it's worth the money
I'll admit this, cause I was still in highschool n' what not, I diddn't have a legal copy of CS, cause I couldn't afford it, but now that I'm not in H.S. I can finally afford a legal copy, and I'm gonna buy it tmorrow.
Yeah, I was waypointin' on a illegal version of CS, but soon, if I ever update my waypoints? it'll be 100% legal.
Sure, some stuff out there on the market ain't worth your money, but for stuff like CS and Halo (I bought halo right away, 1st game I ever played online on my new ADSL modem too
) give respect to the makers, and buy the game.
I hope this insight will help you realise that gaming does run on a honor system, you can choose to pay or not, it's just good conscience to buy it to show respect, and to encourage new development of new games and mods.
