Indeed... which parent would dare to name his son Adolf, nowadays ?
Adolf was a very common name in the early 1900s... even in France I never ever met a guy who calls himself "Adolphe". And I'm certain lot of our grandfathers and grand-grandfathers had this name. Looks like this patronym is rid of the civilization for eternity now.
