I don't visit odd sites, but you get tracking cookies from almost any page you visit... Including supposed "clean" pages, whose names I will not say out loud ...

For me FireFox is the best browser for now. It load the web pages much more fast than IE and support plugins. If you configurate and donwload the right plugins you will not have any problems with FireFox. It is more security browser than IE. Yes still have some bugs with openning some pages but I think that this will be soon fixed because FireFox is getting more popular every day and is open source. FireFox is the future !

Im using firefox because of the tabs.
When i started using FireFox IE didn't had build in popup blocker.
That freature came only a one year later when MS saw that firefox was getting big audience.

As for page loading dunno if there is real big difference.
As for playing java newest version of IE had to install Java seperate to (one year ago)

All other web stuff works just as well on firefox for me.

True, but you can get it from anywhere, as for the faster loading, i've had longer load times with Firefox than IE personally.

Opera 8 has been released pretty recently.

I personally like it. (I've actually paid for it too).
To be honest Opera doesn't solve too many of the problems you wrote of... But it's nice anyway because of small nifty features you discover all the time. The program has a feel of quality over it because of that, so I'd recommend that you try it... I mean, just to have something to compare with the two others.

just uninstalled Firefox, all IE is screwed up. Well, not relaly like its blowing up...

basicly i can't get html pages loaded up and all that kinds of stuff. Fixed some of those links already but when visiting a website, it still does not show a correct icon in the adres bar, as if ... it is not really browsing

Well i dont care, it works.

I only care about 1 thing: Speed

when i click on the IE icon, i need to have it in 2 secs (at max) on my screen And tabs.. yeah they are handy... but i got kinda used to my doubled startbar on my huge 19 inch tft... so i can work with IE nicely as well
