It wasn't pointless... as you wrote, it made us feel special. 9_9
Oh, and admit it: You're just making this waypoint pack so you can open that WIP thread (for which you advertised here in that inimitably soft and subtle way...) and show that it made sense to make you a mod...

Heyyo,
Well, I think he wanted to keep it as like, a journal for his progress. I made one for EPB, but I never closed it incase some people would like to comment, and creating a 2nd thread for commenting would become tedious.... plus I got lazy, so whatever of those 2 happen first.
Remember, us moddies must be open minded, and cater to the needs of the forum members, whether it be making waypoints for them, or listning to their comments. So yeah, inna sense, moddies are like technical support, we troubleshoot problems, and respond quickly and effectively, but we don't need to be all polite and read a script, cause we've got more freedom.

well the main reason i have it closed is that it will become HUGE, and i don't wanna listen to 1000 people that i left the same map off lol not that i wanna be mean but if i left it off it's cause it is like a vehical map.
the other thing is i don't want to open the thread cause i want it to be orginized when i release them, so i don't want week release 1 then 1000 post then release 2 then 5 post then release 3 ETC
i will probly open a new thread that people can ask questions about...
@ TWrecks do you think i should make the WIP and the new thread a STICKY?
and i don't feel special using my mod powers lol, if i didn't have mod powers i would have asked you to close it...
[EDIT]
and you guys are mods so if you wanna do a map just edit my thread and change the open to your name
[/EDIT]

Heyyo,
Nah, stickies are for very important information mainly, and waypoints and waypointpacks done by us shouldn't get any special attention of a stickey. The closest thing I did was that thread for finding waypoints for many bots, that I only did like, the 1 reference to me for classic PODbot waypoints, and the rest was the ones I could find.
Cause yeah, if all waypointpacks would become stickeys... we'd have a heckovalot of stickey threads, and barely any norm threads eh?

yes true most of his maps do look like shit and some don't but the whole point of his maps are to get away from the CAL style of playing and just have some fun on a map not make it a job to play

I just wonder why some mappers seem to think that it's impossible to have fun on a well-designed map... 9_9
So far, I've seen ONE fy_map that looked nice... fy_ruins. I won't mention other fy-maps here 'cuz I can virtually see SoUlFaThEr's veins thicken already...

Iīm a fan of Nipperīs maps. de_dust2 isnīt eyecandy but people seem to like it, too . de_cliffcastle, de_vangogh and dark_island are my favourites, waypointed them some time ago. Nipper always has cool and fresh ideas, secrets and easter-eggs. Iīll try your waypoints for sure .

Sure, de_dust2 isn't what one would call eye-candy. Still, it uses well-matching textures, has no graphical glitches and doesn't look like something pieced together from parts that don't belong to each other. It doesn't have great design in the sense that it makes you drool... but it does have great design in the sense that it creates a rether nice atmosphere... this can't be said of many of those fun maps. Some of Nipper's stuff is nice, and I was really surprised by de_vangogh - that's an awesome idea he had there, and the result looks quite nice. Gotta check out de_cliffcastle one day...
Still, when I compare de_vangogh with de_halla, I go for de_halla. Although I gotta admit that Nipper does have great ideas. 9_9
Anyway, I think many ppl like his maps, so having waypoints for them is always a good thing.

in the 170 pack, some of the maps look really really nice, well put together and everything, but the reason most of his maps look shitty is cause when your playing crazytank, you don't care what the textures are you just wanna blow shit upp and run people over lol
