EtQw is great to play, if you have the hardware, to cope. You can download it from fileplanet and play it with bots by yourself or on a LAN, if your lucky enough to get a key, then online too......

I think the hardest part Mal had to do was getting the bots to fly so well. Great stuff. I've been practicing the flying for a few days now, and I'm still not as good as the bots.....

Thought I had the Hardware extra ram. cpu fast enough... but now the beta cuts out the bottom half of the Geforce 6000 video chips. Does anybody know if the final Game will support video chips below Geforce 6600? My computer is less than a year old but no video upgrade path AFAIK (no space, and I don't want space heater sized boxes)

I'm Playing the beta2 using a 6600GT if that helps Tom? Runs really well.
Now that ET:QW is finished what's the chances of Mal doing any updates on Fritz? Nil? lol

2gig of ram
3gig P4
ATI X1650xt 256MB
With all graphic features turned up to max, with 1280/1024 res.
I get between 22 - 30 fps, on one occasion it went down to 15.

so even my hardware could do with an upgrade...Shame.

Also I would be supprised if people make custom maps, because valley_lit.mega is over 280MB unless they re-use alot of the exsisting textures from the main maps and link to it.

I think I read that you can still make a map without a megatexture and that it is considerabley smaller, but it doesnt have all the cool features that the mega offers .

Nice job on the bots btw mal.

Now that QW development is officially over, it would be great to see Mal continue where he left off. I would even venture a guess that he picked up a lot of usefull ideas to implement.
I know it's been said before, but a linux port of this, would make it the top bot mod for et.

But Mal may not be legally in a position to use many of the useful ideas he picked up.

Anyway I have added to the wiki a place for wishes and suggestions for future development and filled in a few from a waypointers viewpoint. If you want to add to it please keep each item narrowly focused to just one change that is achievable.

BTW I got last weeks demo to work (standalone) on my machine even though its Ge6150 wasn't in the list of minimum requirements. I almost felt I knew the bots from another life, but then they attacked me from the air, and never looked like lemmings on edges. Overall very impressive Mal! a bouquet is in order. I look forward to seeing the waypointing editor.
