Default Trubles with FBot - 29-09-2004

Hallo from Ru once again.
Ive dld yr new Fbot files and installed them as U wrote. Then i do all what u've wrote as well (maps Destruction for ex. and write in console /bot_enable 1)
When go to the game there are Lags and all (almost) bots go as "spectators" and game gets down . Whats the problem ?
Is it prblm becouse I've got the 1.40 version of RTCW ? or not ?

Thx ahead.

1. make sure you use "seta bot_enable 1" in the console BEFORE you start a map. Do it at the main menu.

2. The current version is 1.41, and Fritz works fine in that one, I've never tested 1.40, so I can't say either way if thats a problem.

3. When you start a map, do you see the "server funning Fritzbot" message? If not, you may have the .dlls in the wrong place.

4. Make sure g_teamForceBalance is set to 0.

Note: the bug with bot_enable and g_forceteams will be addressed in the patch, which will come out sometime wed night or thurs morning.

Your not running a warez version of Wolf are you? 9_9

If thats not the problem, are you missing some .pk3 files in your '"main" folder? Looks like your missing textures from the Single Player game. Many of the Multiplayer maps use them, which is why I'm asking.

How did you start your Fritz game - by going to the mod menu, or using a shortcut?

its a bug that pops up now and then with custom maps and mods.. its a bug in rtcw... happens sometimes starting wolf with a custom map first and then switch to an original map and rtcw cant find the paths to its textures.. anyways... restarting the game with a original map first will eliminate that bug...
