Default I don't get it... - 10-12-2006

The ony map I can play with the Fritzbot mod at maximum bot capacity is ET_Beach. Any other map I play can only have like two to four*Coughcoughfueldumpcoughsiwaoasiscoughanymapco ughCough* bots. Why is that? I have put all Fritzbot files into my ET folder. Also, can you tell me how to make them chat with the files for bots that are already in ET?(Check pak0.pk3 with WinRAR.)

check your maxbots setting (g_maxbots).

Those bot files in pak0.pk3 are not used with this mod.

It's not that. I like to have 25 vs 1 matches but if I try on any map besides ET_beach, The game will just crash.

ok how about;
(a)Something in etmain may be bad (I suggest turning on sync. logging and reading the resulting log files).
(b) What OS are you running with how much memory?
(c) are you trying to run any other mods etc at the same time?
(d) Also some maps don't have enough spawns for 25 in all situations and telefragging results (or worse mutations like this one I captured...it can heal, snipe and panzer but can only steal a uniform with a 60+"waist

I guess the next question is do you have any skinpacks / soundpacks installed? For some reason some of these are being shipped with map scripts in them; and on some maps thats a bad thing...

I used to have a skin pack but I deleted it recently. And the problem isn't how many spawns. As soon as I add three bots, the game crashes. I have a sort of a fix I thought up for the mutations on Oasis. You can just start the game with bots on puase. You then just dyno the wall, kill any bots near the spawn, go to the depot and check on them. I think that there are enough spawn points for at least 20 bots. Fuel Dump is a different story. It has enough spawns for 10000 bots lol.

Just as a test, rename the fritz0.pk3 file and fritz1_1.00.pk3 file to have zzzz_ in front of them.

so zzzz_fritz0.pk3 and zzzz_fritz1_1.00.pk3 should be in the fritzbot folder when you are done.

That way, the fritz mapscripts are sure to be loaded.

Also, are you by chance using custom made .bot files?
