Default CS: SOURCE bot is possible... and i can show it ya ;) - 09-12-2004

Just look at this:

I did not code a lot yet, i just got glad this was showing up after FREAKING FIDDLING AND GETTING CRAZY for around 2 hours... it seems in HL2DM the fakeclient caused crashing, so i was investigating WHY... it just seems HL2DM does not like FAKE clients yet. So i thought, lets try it on CS SOURCE... and yes, it works.

Now, next step is to see how far i have to go to get these bots really in the game (is CreateFakeClient enough?). If not, i will keep you guys informed.

well, its one minor step forward imo i am now gonna try to let the bots JOIN the game.

And even then, the code looks DAMN ugly... but it works!

i think the HL2DM has code that crashes upon calling that function. I tried several methods, but they all fail. Not just returning NULL on 'failure' but simply crash to desktop. I sent valve a mail about it.

I have a question. Will there be a easy way to install bots for css?
I don´t have internet, so i have to go to a friend to connect steam.
In the consol i could type bot_add after that there stood fatal-error!
i thougt i had to download a bot but there is no bot for css!?
Will there be a bot coming out soon?

Sorry for my english, im from germany.
