General Bot forum

Something i think is missing from this messageboard is a general bot forum.

Since I don't use one single bot, the questions i have, typically don't belong in any specific bot's forum. For example general quostions about how to get multiple bots to work at the same time would belong in such a forum. I don't think I'm the only one in such a situation.

Of course the offtopic can be used, but I feel guilty posting a bot question in the only forum about everything else

So what do you think of the idea?

Multiple bot questions are not the only example...

but that really isn't the point, because I'd much rather know what you think of the main idea...

well setting up any bot goes in server admin help..
if it has anything to do with the coding of a bot then it belongs in bot and metamod coding.. and if it has anything to do with a bot not working or something then it belongs in the author's email box or the forums for that bot..

what about all the stuff that's pretty general?

like...

general behavier of bots
general perspective of bot coding
general reasons why multiple bot's all behave so and so (fx why none of them can snipe properly)

All those general questions about bot's are not relevant to any single bot's forum, I'd say...

...those questions about which bot is best would probably fit there too


I don't know if you follow my thoughts... I know it's stupid just to come with more examples of topics or subjects, but what i mean is that there isn't any forum for general questions about bot's. This is a unique site because several bot makers are active in this forum. That means that you have a place to discuss not just the individual bots, but also the general aspects of bots.

As the message board is now, it seems more like a collection of the different bot's own message boards, with a few added forums, mostly those you mentioned.

but then, if you still think it's a bad idea, then no problem...
