Default Poll - Disable reload podbot.cfg file? - 04-07-2004

Since sPlOrYgOn made possibility of changing from console (by pb commands) all commands and paramaters existing in podbot.cfg file, it seems like is not important now to reload this file every map change. For example if in this file You have botchat on, You can write
pb botchat off
and this will be still active even after map change. Now after map change this what You change from console is overwritten by settings from podbot.cfg . The same for min/max_bots - when You change this from console - now after map change the settings are overwitten so You have change this once again or change the file during the game (it's a little inconveniance). When we disable this reloading all change (also existing bots in the game) should be valid on all next maps (until You change something again).

So now we start a poll - Do You want to disable this reloading of podbot.cfg file at map change to prevent overwritting all You setted up during the game from console or not?

i think it should only be disabled if the settings are remebered while server is running and so when the cfg is loaded again ..everything goes back to default.

The cfg will be loaded every server start. After map change or map restart - not. Is this what You want or not?

Heyyo,

I think this is a good idea, and should help with the prob of bots constantly being added at each map/maprestart due to addbot commands in the podbot.cfg. I did comment mine out, but for the people who don't? it can be a prob...

addbot commands and some settings (min/max botskill, min/max_bots etc) - these are different topics. We were speaking in this thread only about settings. These addbot commands will be no longer called from podbot.cfg in R2B43. We don't need to call them anymore since we checked my auto add/kick bot specification is more good than I supposed during creating it.

But the latest available is R2B42. sPlOrYgOn wants to include something more into next build. This stop calling addbot commands from podbot.cfg after mapchange is only one thing I know for this moment.
