Default Slow Motion bots after some time - 20-05-2004

i have noticed that on linux box the official released bots pb2.6mm are getting the "slow motion" effect after some time

on first map thy act very well, but with each mapchange and proabbly hlds time used the bots are getting running and moving a bit slower
after 8 hours they are just on respawn points performing jumps
the jump lasts about ... 30 seconds

what more interesting spyrogon release does not have this bug.
i was comparing the sources and noticed few but i guess the one of the most important is in experience files with waypoints (i cannot tell you now whcich one but i assure you you can find it quite easily with any compairng file tool)

from logs it occurs that the bots are getting totally slow (less kills thus less movement ) after around 4 mapchanges, but if i got 20 mineutes timelimit it gets to 80 minutes
thats 1h 20 min when they are becoming visibly slower.

i don't want to spend whole 4h on server just watching how bots perform

more info in next monday

I thought this bug had been fixed ?

To fix it add

msecnum = 0;
msecdel = 0;
msecval = 0;

in ServerActivate().

it happens to me on the first map, time doesn't _seem_ to be a factor.
they get slow, then they'll go back to normal after a few mins, then later they'll go slow again.

if it's the first map then more than likely it is building visibility tables...

Maybe KaszpiR was not using your R2.1 DLL ?

People should post which POD-bot DLL they use when they have a problem (and perhaps we should ask them more often, too)

I noticed in some idea
http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=1540
to include this version number (or build number) to code to show what the version is used (and write to the log). If somebody want to notice something - in this case he can very easy tell us what version is he using. But it seem that coders don't like this idea. I don't know why. No one coders said something "pro" or "con" this idea.
