Is it also possibe to have bots jump from node path to node path. Like lets say there running along one and one intersects the one there running on can they jump on the the intersecting one and go in another direction.

Hi Stefan,

/*edit
this problem is more confusing
edit*/
ok i made a log of my linux hlserver console, the following problem persists:

when adding bots which are in the rb_names.txt and for which exists a <name>.ini in realbot/data/cstrike/bots/, the console prints, that they are created by random.
incontrast new (invented) bot names do not trigger a message like that.

Also the CT do not defuse the bombs very often, the usually just walk over it and go to the next bomb spot, w/o defusing.
this was true for 15 (!) rounds of de_inferno (none defused), then all humans had left, including me...

see the log for the ini file problem, i included adding a new bot and a directory listing showing the file dates.

cheers

For some reason the latest wip is causing 10x the choke the last version
i used did (right before 8 i think).

My main server setup to run cs 1.6+amx+wip7x with 10-16 bots,
Day Of Defeat+amx+sturmbots with 4-12 bots with little to no choke in
each game.

Now, just with the cs server running choke spikes into 70s-100s with 8+ bots
enabled. Memory usage is fine, fps in hlds ~26-40 with full server,
and CPU usage only 17-39%. (bots frequently stop for a second then speedup
really fast to their target position)

I tried it on a differant server alltogether with similar results.

Still my favorite bot, but they've become just about unplayable

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Thanks.

I had this "speedup" problem at the slower of my servers with joebot. At my faster server I never saw this problem...

Fast server: athlon XP 1800+, 256 MB
Slow server: athlon 1200, 768 MB

Ok a little update on the Linux issue. It seems my partner mistake the rbx files as the node files. The install structure is correct, the bot program is creating rbx files for every map BUT its not creating the RBN file.

Sorry for the double post/spam. About the realbot linux problem. I looked at the realbot folder and after some time realized that the realbot AI 1.0 for linux never created a maps folder in the data/cstrike folder. SO we made one and it started to create rbn files so where good now. Sorry for the worries.
