Default RBN and RBX files - 09-02-2004

Hello

I use RB WIP 8.5.

I can’t find any rbn/rbx files in my hlds folder (or any sub-folder)

On every map change, I have to instruct T & CT to get them moving. But on next map change everything is lost.
It seems that RB can't save the waypoint files.

I can’t see what’s the problem is.

make sure your folders arent read-only, and also make sure that you dont add a bot till at least the snd round.

if you need to you can always load CSDM till you think the nodes are well enough done and hten add bots (remember to disable CSDM or they get scores of something like 40000 within 2mins)

RealBot should indicate if you have installed it into the correct directory. I bet it gives you a warning.

No realbot is installed correct.

RealBot: plugin attaching
realbot - command reserved.
Downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net ...
Notice: RealBot is installed in the correct directory.
Notice: Assuming you run Counter-Strike 1.6

I have checked that all folders (and sub-folder) in my HLDS folder aren’t read-only.

Where are these files suppose to be stored?

the files should be stored into:
realbot\data\cstrike\maps
realbot\data\cstrike\exp

perhaps deleting any files there and recreating them will help...

Thats it!

I deleted all the files and folders (in the data folder) and zipped out som old files.

Now the Bot's are running! Even after map change.

Thaks folks!

Let me get this straight, the older files are being read by the new wip but not the current ones we have???

every WIP update the file id gets updated, and they arent backwards compat yet,

reason for this is that its hard to add new info e.g. duck points onto a camp point, so its easier for the nodes to get remade but at the moment the only way that happens is for you to delete them and then re-node

if stefan decided to impliment a way that checked the id and then if older delete files windows would first stick its hand up and say "someone is kicking me in my balls so im going to start kickin you now" and linux would say "all very well re-writing the files, but metamod doesnt like that so he will kick you instead"
